Armageddon

If you type "Armageddon" into Google, you'll see images of nuclear explosions, asteroids, war tanks in the Middle East, and the end of civilization. Hollywood has taught us that Armageddon is World War III between Russia, China, and the United States, fought in the valley of Megiddo, in Israel.

But think it through with me: how would a military war between humans in Palestine affect the Devil? Satan isn't afraid of tanks. Missiles don't kill demons. The biblical Armageddon is not a political war over oil or territory. It is the Final Battle for the Throne of the Universe.

In the Sixth Bowl, the scene shifts dramatically. After the sores, the blood, and the darkness, the stage is set for checkmate.

The Drying River (The End of Support)

"Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared" (Rev. 16:12).

To understand this, we need to go back to ancient history. Literal Babylon sat on the banks of the Euphrates River. The river was its lifeline, its defense (its walls were protected by water-filled moats), and its economy. But in 539 B.C., a general named Cyrus, coming from the East (Persia), had a brilliant idea. He diverted the river's course. The water level dropped — it "dried up" — and Cyrus's soldiers marched along the dry riverbed, slipped in under the walls, and conquered the city in a single night.

In Revelation, "Babylon" is the false religious-political system (the Beast). Who is her "Euphrates"? Revelation 17:15 answers: "The waters which you saw... are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues."

The drying up of the Euphrates is not a dam in Turkey shutting off literal water. It is the dramatic moment when humanity — the waters — withdraws its support from the Beast. Remember, in the Fifth Bowl, the Beast's throne went dark and people bit their tongues? They realized they had been deceived. Suddenly, the millions of followers who once idolized the system turn against it. Popular support dries up. Money dries up. Worship dries up. The Beast becomes vulnerable.

The Kings from the East (The Liberation)

If the Euphrates dried up so that Cyrus, the king from the east, could enter and free God's people, who are the "kings from the east" in Revelation?

This is not China's army with 200 million soldiers. In the Bible, "the east" is the direction of God's glory. Jesus said: "For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be" (Matthew 24:27).

The Kings from the East are Jesus Christ and His angelic armies. They come marching, not to kill humans with swords of iron, but to rescue His people, who are under siege by modern Babylon. The way has been prepared. The Beast's protection has fallen. The Liberator is arriving.

The Devil's Desperation (The 3 Frogs)

Seeing that he is losing control of the crowds (the river drying up) and that King Jesus is coming, Satan panics. He needs to rally the world for one last stand.

"And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet" (v. 13).

Why frogs? This takes us back to the plagues of Egypt. The plague of frogs was the last one Pharaoh's magicians managed to imitate. Frogs croak — they make a lot of noise, but there's no substance behind it. And they catch their prey with their tongue. These three spirits represent the final propaganda campaign of the satanic trinity (Spiritism, the papacy, and apostate Christianity).

They perform "signs" (false miracles) to convince the kings of the earth (political rulers) not to give up. They say:

"It's not God sending these plagues, it's aliens!"

"We need to unite against this invasion!"

"It's that radical group's fault (the 144,000) — we need to eliminate them!"

It is the greatest fake news campaign in universal history. Its goal is to gather the entire world into a place called Armageddon.

What Is Armageddon?

Armageddon comes from the Hebrew Har-Magedon (Mount of Megiddo). The problem is, there is no "mountain" of Megiddo in Israel — there's a valley. But Megiddo was the place where God won His people's impossible battles (as with Gideon and Barak).

Armageddon is not a geographic zip code. It is a global situation. It is the moment when every political and religious power on Earth unites on one "mount" of opposition against God and His people. It is the universal death decree against the Resistance.

Just when it seems the saints will be exterminated — when the armies of the world encircle God's people, spiritually and physically — the "Greater Cyrus" appears from the east.

The Battle That Never Happens

The irony of Armageddon is that there is no "fight." In Revelation 19 (which details this battle), the Beast and the kings are gathered to make war. But when the White Rider (Jesus) arrives, He does not use missiles. He uses the "sword that proceeds out of His mouth" — the Word.

The battle ends before it begins. The brightness of Jesus' coming paralyzes the enemy army. Armageddon is not an evenly matched duel between Good and Evil. It is a massacre of human arrogance by divine glory.

Which Side of the River Are You On?

Today, the Euphrates River is still full. The world's system (Babylon) looks strong, wealthy, and backed by the crowds. It's tempting to stand with the majority. But prophecy says: the river will dry up. The system will go bankrupt. The Beast's popularity will turn to hatred.

Do not place your security in the "waters" of this world. Prepare to see the Kings from the East. When heaven opens, you want to be among those who are set free, not among those who are destroyed.
